Complete your strata Form B online, add the required attachments and download one complete PDF. Missing or inconsistent information is flagged as you go, and the certificate follows the form and wording prescribed by British Columbia’s Strata Property Regulation.
We built this Form B Builder as a free tool to help strata corporations and strata managers prepare complete, accurate Form Bs. Incomplete information or missing attachments can delay a sale, so the tool checks your entries as you go and combines the certificate and all attachments into one PDF. It is still the responsibility of the person(s) signing the Form B to ensure the information entered is correct and complete.

A Form B, also known as an Information Certificate, is the form a British Columbia strata corporation uses to disclose key financial and legal information about the strata corporation and a specific strata lot. The form is prescribed by the Strata Property Regulation.
It covers matters such as strata fees, amounts owing, special levies, the contingency reserve fund, legal proceedings and insurance, and must include certain attachments, such as the rules and the current budget.
An owner, a purchaser, or a person authorized by an owner or purchaser can request one. It is typically requested when a strata lot is being sold, often by the listing realtor. Lenders may also ask for one, for example at mortgage renewal.
The strata corporation must provide the Form B within one week of the request (Strata Property Act, section 59) and may charge up to $35 plus 25 cents per page for attachments. The information is binding on the strata corporation, so accuracy matters. It is signed by council members or, if authorized by the strata corporation, the strata manager, who often prepares it on behalf of the council. More from the BC government
